Our journey began in 1998 when founder Eleanor Winthrop started growing flowers in her backyard. Her arrangements quickly gained popularity among friends and neighbors, and within a year, she had established a small flower stand at the local farmers' market. The business grew organically, much like the flowers we cherish, and by 2005, PetalPatch had become a full-service floral design studio.

For standard orders, we recommend placing your request at least 48 hours in advance to ensure we can source the freshest flowers and accommodate your design preferences. For weddings and large events, we suggest booking 3-6 months in advance, especially during peak season (April-October). Last-minute orders may be accommodated based on availability, with a rush fee applied to orders requiring delivery within 24 hours.
We deliver to all addresses within the continental United States. Delivery fees vary based on location and range from $10-$25. We offer same-day delivery for orders placed before 2 PM in the recipient's time zone. Deliveries are made between 8 AM and 7 PM local time. For special time requests, an additional fee may apply. We always attempt to leave the arrangement in a safe place if the recipient isn't home and will include a delivery notification.
To extend the life of your cut flowers: (1) Keep them in a clean vase filled with fresh water. (2) Recut stems at an angle every 2-3 days. (3) Use the flower food provided and change water every 2-3 days. (4) Keep flowers away from direct sunlight, heating vents, and fruit (which emits ethylene gas that accelerates aging). (5) Remove any leaves that fall below the waterline to prevent bacterial growth. Different flowers have specific care needs, so check the care card included with your arrangement.
